About the Journal:
Information Sciences and Computing (ISC) is an interdisciplinary and open-access journal. The journal publishes refereed high quality original, innovative and creative research results on relevant fields and subfields of information science and computing, including the theory, method and application. A smaller number of timely short communications and surveying contributions will be published from time to time. The journal emphasizes a balanced coverage of both theory and practice. It is designed to serve researchers, academicians, students, developers, managers, strategic planners and others interested in state-of-the art research activities in information science and computing. A structured manuscript dealing with one or more of the following aspects or areas of information science and computing may be considered for publication:
Designing, developing and building hardware and software systems; processing, structuring, and managing various kinds of information. Scientific research on and with computers; making computer systems behave intelligently; creating and using communications and entertainment media etc.
Information systems, information technology, archival science, cognitive science, commerce, communications, law, library science, management, mathematics, philosophy, public policy, and the social sciences.
Analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, and dissemination of information.
Application and usage of knowledge in organizations, along with the interaction between people, organizations and any existing information systems, with the aim of creating, replacing, improving, or understanding information systems.
Frequency of Publication:
Starting with the year 2015, the journal is adopting state-of-the-art ‘running issue’ concept which gives authors the benefit of reduced waiting time for the officially accepted manuscripts to be published. Four issues in a year during the months of January, April, July and October respectively were published during 2013-2014.
